Homemade strawberry lemonade is the most refreshing summer drink! Full of tart, fresh squeezed lemon juice and sweet strawberries, the only thing that can make it better is vodka!
Add the sugar, water, and leftover lemon peels to a small saucepan over medium heat.
Stir until sugar is completely dissolved, about 5 minutes.
Remove from the heat and strain out the lemon peels. Let cool completely to room temperature, about 30 minutes.
Strawberry Lemonade
Add the sliced strawberries to the bottom of a large pitcher and muddle gently.
Add in the simple syrup, lemon juice, vodka, and 2 cups of water and stir to combine.
Taste and add more water if desired.
Pour lemonade over ice and add in more sliced strawberries and lemons. If you're feeling fancy, rub some lemon juice along the edge of the glass and dip in sugar for a fun sugar rim!
Notes
Homemade lemonade will last in the fridge for up to a week! Just be sure to strain out any large pieces of fruit as they will become mushy after a couple days.
