This is optional, but you can make your own white chocolate sauce if desired!
Finely chop the white chocolate and place into a large bowl.
Place the milk or cream in a microwave safe bowl and microwave for 1-2 minutes or until hot to the touch but not boiling.
Pour over the chopped white chocolate and let sit for about two minutes.
Using a spatula, gently mix until the chocolate is fully melted and the ganache is fully combined and smooth.
It will be very runny and will thicken slightly as it cools. Store in the fridge for up to a week (you may need to reheat to make runny again).
White Chocolate Mocha
Brew a double shot of espresso and then pour into a tall glass over ice (I love using coffee ice cubes).
In a separate glass or bowl, combine your milk of choice with 1 tablespoon of white chocolate sauce. Use a handheld milk frother to combine fully. Taste and add more chocolate sauce if desired.
Then pour the white chocolate milk over the espresso and ice.
That's it! This iced white chocolate mocha is delicious as is.
But if desired, you can top with whipped cream, white chocolate shavings, and a drizzle of white chocolate sauce.
Notes
This iced white chocolate mocha is delicious as is, but here's a few fun twists you can make:
Peppermint white chocolate mocha: I just love the combo of chocolate and peppermint! Add ¼ teaspoon of peppermint extract to the milk and top with crushed peppermint candies for a fun holiday twist!
Hot white chocolate mocha: Instead of an iced mocha, serve this latte hot instead! After combining the milk and white chocolate sauce, heat the milk in the microwave or over the stove until hot. Then use a handheld frother to froth before adding to the warm espresso. You can still top with whipped cream and white chocolate shavings if desired.
