These frozen cranberry margaritas are a super simple cocktail for the holiday season! They're basically just a tangy, boozy, grown-up slushy! They're perfect to serve at a Christmas or Thanksgiving party, however, I also love these frozen cranberry margaritas in the summertime!

Ingredient Notes
You just need 5 ingredients (and ice) to make frozen cranberry margaritas!
Frozen Cranberries - I love frozen cranberries because you can find them at the grocery store year round! Using frozen cranberries also gives these frozen margaritas an extra slushy texture, but fresh cranberries work well too (you might just need a little extra ice).
Tequila - My favorite tequila for margaritas is 1800 Silver Tequila but you can use whatever you prefer!
Orange Liqueur - I love adding orange liqueur (triple sec) to margaritas, but it's completely optional! My favorite is Grand Marnier!
Lime Juice - I always prefer using fresh limes, but if you can't find them you can use bottled lime juice!
Sugar - Since these margaritas are blended, you can use granulated sugar for an easy option. However, the same amount of simple syrup also works great! Cranberries are quite tart so you might want to add in a little extra sugar or simple syrup if desired.
Sugared Cranberries - This is optional, but for some extra holiday flair you can garnish the frozen cranberry margaritas with sugared cranberries!
The complete list of ingredients and amounts is located in the recipe card below.
How to Make Frozen Margaritas
Frozen margaritas are super easy to make! All you need is a blender capable of handling ice!
Add all the margarita ingredients to the blender and blend until fully combined and smooth. It should be a thick, slushie consistency.
If the cranberry margaritas are too watery, you can add more ice to thicken it up!
Garnish with lime slices and serve immediately!
Cocktail Serving Tips
I love serving frozen cranberry margaritas in fun glasses, but you can use your favorite tumblers, or even just a red solo cup if you're lounging by the pool!
You could also serve these frozen cranberry margaritas with a salt or sugar rim!
To make a salt rim, rub a small amount of lime juice or simple syrup along the edge of your glass. Pour a small amount of margarita salt (or kosher salt) on a plate and gently press the edges of the glass into the salt. The same method works with granulated sugar!
Recipe FAQ's
Yes! The best part about frozen cocktails, is the liquor prevents them from freezing solid! You can store the frozen cranberry margs in an airtight container in the freezer for up to 2 weeks before serving.
Yes! You could make these frozen margaritas with frozen strawberries, frozen peach slices, frozen raspberries, etc.! Frozen cranberries are quite tart, so if you use other fruits you will probably want to reduce the sugar content!
Tips for Success!
For best results I always recommend using weight measurements (especially when baking) because it's the most accurate. Kitchen scales are super affordable and also reduce the number of dishes you have to do! However, all my recipes also include US customary measurements for convince. Use this chart to convert measurements for common ingredients!
Substitutions: In all my recipes, I've included substitutions that I know will work, but I cannot guarantee results if you substitute ingredients that I have not recommended. [For example, granulated sugar and honey are indeed both sweeteners but they have very different properties so they can not always be swapped 1:1. Using honey in a cookie recipe that calls for granulated sugar will yield a giant mess.] In the recipe card you'll find links to the specific ingredients/brands that I use.
A note on salt: I almost exclusively use Diamond Crystal Kosher Salt because it's the best all-purpose salt for cooking and baking. If you're not using kosher salt, consult this handy guide for a conversion chart! When in doubt, if you're using table salt just reduce the amount by half for baked goods. When cooking, I prefer to under-salt because you can always add more! If you've over-salted, adding a little bit of acid (like lemon juice) can help.
